Hannah's Hot Pick
Halo Vacuum

I took this baby for a spin this week and was very impressed. I pulled it out of the box, slid on the handle, and it was ready to go (which is ideal since I'm not one for manuals). The office/playroom was completely trashed so I headed there first. After doing the obligatory pre-vacuum pick-up, I started up the Halo and got to work. It maneuvered easily over the carpet and had great suction (my kids are notorious about leaving minute little scraps of trash around the house so I had a great testing groundt). In just a few minutes, the floor looked great. But, that's just where the appeal of this vacuum begins.

The Halo has an ultraviolet light that kills germs and microbes as it passes over your carpet. Since most of my kids spend the majority of their time playing on the floor, this definitely piqued my interest. I try to avoid using chemicals in my home to clean surfaces because I don't want to create indoor air pollution for my family. However, the thought of microscopic bugs, unhealthy germs, and other creepy crawlies infesting my carpet was not too appealing either. Fortunately, the Halo vacuum offers a solution. Using ultraviolet light, it leaves a safe surface on the carpet for little ones to play without the dangers of chemicals or harmful germs. Basically, it's a healthy mom's dream come true. I love it!
