Deuter Kanga Kid Backpack

I love carrying my kids with me when I'm shopping or taking walks. When they are little I would always carry them in a front pack. But as they got older, I would eventually switch to a backpack which always felt better for my posture. My only gripe was that I could never carry stuff with me. Purses strained my already loaded back and fanny packs, well, they just looked dorky.

Finally, I came across a backpack that pulls its weight. The Deuter KangaKid is actually a backpack in the more traditional sense, with pockets for all your goodies. But the backpack zips open to reveal a fully-equipped child seat. Now I can have my purse and my child, too--all in one handy pack. It also comes with plenty of straps so you can fit it comfortably on you and your baby. I'm totally digging this pack, and Kenna likes it, too. However, she calls it an airplane because she feels like she's flying through the air when I am carrying her (I guess that's what happens when you have a mom who's almost six feet tall).
